Cortisol Salivary Test

What is Cortisol? Why testing it?

Cortisol is our 'stress hormone' produced in the adrenal cortex. It plays important roles in metabolizing major nutrients as well as regulating blood pressure and immune response. More importantly, cortisol helps us deal with stress.

Testing cortisol helps determine if our symptoms related to too much stress.

Why using Saliva?
It is a test about stress, so the sampling has to be stress-free. Also the biologically active cortisol (free cortosol) is present in saliva but not in urine or blood. Saliva test could give accurate results recognized by The National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

See What Your Body Tells You

Seven saliva samples at different time during the day will be required. Your saliva sample will be shipped to our laboratory in Germany. A 13-page report will tell you your pattern of cortisol level throughout the day and suggest the way to normalize the irregular pattern.
